PLAYOFFS BABY!!! This is what the Sharks live for-eat or be eaten! Ponte Vedra got their revenge as they defeated the Creekside Knights 49-36 at a home playoff game last Friday night to advance to the regional semifinals.
The Tank was swarming as the Sharks got off to a fast start and never looked back. Senior QB Ben Burk completed 12 of 17 for 153 yards and 3 touchdowns. Junior running back Brian Case had a game for the ages with 35 rushes for 175 yards and 3 TDs putting him over the 1,000-yard mark for the season. Junior tight end Landon Okla caught 3 balls, all resulting in touchdowns.
This offensive showcase would not have been possible without the outstanding play of the varsity O-Line led by senior center Jake Guarnera. Guards Jovanni Mackinze and Rocco Garcia along with tackles Brody McLeod and Colin Butler all had dominating performances.
Once again the defense played lights out, highlighted by a Maddux Babin fumble recovery for a touchdown. Special teams also got in on the scoring action when they faked a punt, and junior quarterback Drew Price threw a pass to Okla that he took to the house.
The road to the championship goes through Gainesville. The Regional Semifinal game will be played this Friday night against #1 ranked Buchholz High School. Fins up Sharks...LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!

Many youngsters here, will go to bed tonight and dream of one day becoming a part of the championship legacy that is here at Ponte Vedra High School.
Now, on behalf of those who have gone before and those yet to come, you, this day, have the privilege of writing another chapter in the history and tradition of Shark Football as tonight, we step once again into the Shark Tank.
