OH WHAT A NIGHT...
It was HISTORY in the making for the PV SHARKS for their ROUND 1 of the PLAYOFFS dominating the BARRACUDAS 45-21.
It didn't take long for the SHARKS to capitalize- QB Drew Price threw one of 5 touchdown passes to Davitt Doherty to tie the game 7-7 in the second quarter. Then after a little catch up by the BARRACUDAS, Price found (WR) Jack Berquist for another TOUCHDOWN PASS late in the second quarter.

Then it was pedal to the medal for the SHARKS as they exploded the rest of the night.

Drew's 3rd touchdown pass again to Davitt Doherty started the 3rd quarter off HOT.. Once he connected with (WR) Cam Tietze who acrobatically went up to snag the ball right out of the air - as the crowd stood stunned at what he just pulled off he managed to just waltz right into the endzone for the touchdown untouched.

Then for what one would never expect Ponte Vedra had yet another trick up their sleeve bringing in TALAN BABIN to nab the fourth touchdown of the night, and there was NOTHING you could do about that one!

Just when you think the game was over- here comes (RB) Brian Case taking off full steam ahead with a a long run 75 yards to be exact right up the middle to end the night for the BARRACUDAS.

The defense played an outstanding game
Ponte Vedra would apply pressure, stopping Beachside and sacking Jordan several times. Robbie Grieco, Ryker Kemp, and Robert Gilvarry all registered sacks. Ponte Vedra applied pressure from different positions to Fluster Beachside’s offensive line, and there was nothing they could do about it.

But- LET'S TAKE A MOMENT to CONGRATULATE our very own RYKER KEMP (51) Defensive End who NOW HOLDS the school record in career sacks at 11. Kemp averages about 1.4 sacks per game and in his ROUND 1 Playoff performance he managed 5 sacks- also breaking the school record.
“Once I got four I knew I tied it, so I knew I just needed one more,” Kemp said.

Ponte Vedra played with GRIT Friday night and it showed. Next up Niceville High School for the second round in the playoffs on Friday November 22nd.

LET'S GET IT BOYS!
