Karl Smeltzer

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

Coach Smeltzer is entering his third year with the Sharks but he is no stranger to the coaching profession.  He has coached for 33 years- First in the Montgomery, Alabama area and later in schools in the Jacksonville area.  He has over 25 years of head coaching experience. 

 

He is a graduate of Middleburg High School and he played linebacker for the 1987 Troy State University National Championship team.  He is married to his wife, Leslie, and they have one daughter, Kellie.
